Q1: How to Install .Net Framework 3.5 SP1 On the SA2000?
A1: The Microsoft® .NET™ Framework 3.5 SP1 can be installed in SA2000. Full installation needs about 2.4 GB of disc space. So you need to have at least a 4GB storage space on the SA2000 (8GB is preferred).
  Preparations
 
1. Turn on Auto update
2. Change Internet Explorer security settings
– Go to Internet Explorer – Tools – Internet Options – Security – Custom Level
3. Enable the settings below:
 
  (a) Enable Automatic prompting for ActiveX controls
(b) Prompt Download signed ActiveX controls
 
  (c) Enable File download
4. Go to Microsoft update website to get the update

—Click Install
 
  —Click express to update
5. Check that the Windows Auto Update is turned on
  —Go to Control Panel – System
 
6. Clean up old version of .net framework
  —Run the cleanup_tool.exe in dotNetfx_cleanup_tool.zip
7. Change temp drive to C:
  Go to Control Panel – System – Advance – Environment Valuables
Change temp = c:\windows\temp
Tmp = c:\windows\temp
8. Install .NET Framework
  Download .NET 3.5 SP1

9. Install .NET 3.5 SP1
 
 
10. Finally, reset some of the changes back to the old configuration.
 
  • Turn off Auto update
  • Reset Internet security back to default
  • Change Environment valuables TMP and TEMP back to z:\
    		•
    11. Now you done!
