Q1: What is SimulCAST? Describe how the functionality works.
A1: The need for high-priority communication channels on campus and corporate offices have never been clearer than it is today. Emergencies and urgent situations don't work on a 9 to 5 schedule. The WebDT SimulCAST System is a Software extension of the comprehensive WebDT Digital Signage System that allows school/corporate departments to broadcast "Emergency" digital messages instantly and simultaneously within county, by education level and/or individual schools to all digital screens within its control. This web based server system even has a mobile phone interface which enhances access from anywhere. The "Emergency" digital message that school or corporate officials construct eventually gets delivered to specially designed WebDT Player Software which is installed on each and every student and/or employee PC.
Q2: What are the key technical and business benefits of WebDT SimulCAST?
A2: The key feature of this system is the ability of the system to pre-defined and pre-load digital messages and media contents onto the student / employee PCs in advance such that when there's an emergency situation this message can be quickly triggered to appear on the screen. This minimizes wait time and download time which could prove to be crucial in a real world situation.
Another key feature is the ability of school or corporate officials to access the programming and updating of the entire system strictly via a web browser. With proper login credentials this administrators and not limited to accessing the system only via a certain desktop computer because in an emergency they would need to be able to very quick access/deliver the correct message.
Q3: How will it be sold (as part of the WebDT Signage System? by itself?)
A3: The WebDT UrgenCast will be provided as a software development kit (SDK) along with WCM 3.2 software.
